Two essays written from a Marxist perspective and preserved by Tom Kerry: "The Problem of the Middle East" written in 1946 by Tony Cliff; and "Five Years of the Left Opposition in China" written in 1934 by Niel Sih. Also present is a letter to Kerry from Peng Shu-Tse, a founding member of the Chinese Communist Party, concerning Niel Sih's role in the communist movement.
